Just wondering how many of survivors are still with us, I am in contact with Tansy Lee, quite often, by e-mail. He has a family in Thialand, so spends some time there. I visited the Grave yard at Portland last September and will do so again next September. You will be pleased to know that the cemetry and the graves are in pristine condition. I spoke to a dockyard matey who was walking his dog, he remembered the Sidon being turned away from the floating dock, as there were still the bodies on board, if you remember the boat was beached on Chsill Beach and we had to go and remove our shipmates ? Memories that will never die. Best wishes to you all,
Simmo

Janner : Bryan, have you seen the crew list here

Hi folks, I have just been put onto this site via Exmilitary Mates webb site. There are quiet a few ex mats on there. I am an ex submariner 1960 when I joined them. Served on the old "A" class most of the time, but did do one trip across the pond on "P" Boat , the Finwhale. Will spend a little more time looking around this site .

Janner : Hi Bruce welcome to the site, I was in Alaric, Amphion and Artemis. Always interested in any pics or dits you may have
