Hi Dorset Submariners, I served with Commander Submarines Mediterranean in Naples as a baby writer from 68 to 70, but after 33 years in the mob I'd had enough and retired as a CPOWtr in 1999 and now live in Paradise (aka Portland) with my wife and jack russell puppy called Popeye. My last draft was closing down HMS Tamar. best wishes to your association - Terry

Greetings from Prince Edward Island, Canada. I served on Amphion-Taciturn-Otter-Alcide. and sailed as spare crew on Totem and Alliance. Last boat was Alcide with 6th Squadron in Halifax. I have posted a few interesting photos and stories on my web site and blog. The submarine stories are found by going from my page to authorsden. In 1945-46 I lived in or near Dorset, Beaminister-Gillingham and Gasper, maybe they are in Wiltshire??? I'm not sure. Great site and brought back fond memories of life in boats. I was also a Ganges boy!!
Yours Aye Ben

Back again after a long time doing something else(No, it wasn't a 'sneaky' nor was I found guilty), I would like to let all your dedicated readers know that we have just returned from the annual re-union of the 'Auriga' held in Cambridge.
On a more serious note, those of you who may remember, 'Auriga' suffered a battery explosion whilst operating off Gibraltar in February 1970.
Following a fairly substantial dinner, Mr. Steward(Stormy) Bullard announced that it was intended to celebrate the annual pis/sorry re-union for 2010 in Gibraltar to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the'BANG' If there are any survivors of that night still out there, who would be interested in going to Gib for a week's holiday, and also to remember that night,(at the Caleta Palace Hotel), please contact me and let me know, and I will forward your info to either Stormy or Rocky(ex LRO) Howard(NAT)King
